부산 유엔위크 & 아세안주간 개최
Busan Metropolitan City and BGCF carried out ‘2023 Busan UN Week’ and ‘2023 Busan ASEAN Week’ to establish a world peace hub city and strengthen Busan-ASEAN interaction.
부산시와 부산글로벌도시재단은 세계평화중심도시 조성 및 부산-아세안 교류 강화를 위해 ‘2023 부산 유엔위크’와 ‘2023 부산 아세안 주간’사업을 실시하였다.
During ‘2023 Busan UN Week’, events were held based on various global cultural contents including UN Day Celebration Ceremony (Oct. 24), and international memorial for UN veterans (Nov. 11), to improve the brand of Busan as a world peace hub city.
첫 번째로 ‘2023 부산 유엔위크’ 주간에는 세계평화 관련 글로벌 문화 콘텐츠 사업추진을 통한 ‘세계평화 중심도시 부산’ 의 브랜딩을 제고하기 위해 유엔의 날 기념식(10/24)부터 유엔참전용사 국제추모식(11/11)까지 다양한 컨텐츠를 활용한 행사가 진행되었다.
‘2023 Busan UN Week’, meeting for its 4th year this year, is cooperating with related organizations including Busan Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs, Nam-gu Office, UN Memorial Cemetery in Korea, and more, under the keyword ‘Busan Initiatives.’
올해로 4회차를 맞이한 ‘2023 부산 유엔위크’는 ‘부산 이니셔티브’라는 키워드를 바탕으로 부산지방보훈청, 부산시 남구청, 재한유엔기념공원 등 유관기관과 함께 협력한다.
Busan Public Diplomacy Supporters (UNs) recruited around 100 students from 25 countries, including Korea, and hosted ‘Remember Roll Call (September-October)’, a memorial campaign to call the names of soldiers killed in the Korean War as defenders of peace. They also hosted ‘the 78th UN Day Event (October 24),’ ‘World Peace Forum’, and more, to promote the spirit of the UN, express gratitude to the devotion of the war veterans, and to honor their sacrifice.
For its 4th year this year, ‘2023 Busan ASEAN Week’ is one of the follow-up projects of the celebration of ‘2019 ROK-ASEAN Commemorative Summit’ and was planned for sustainable cooperation and solidarity between Busan and ASEAN.
Since 2020, multiple programs have been held to consolidate Busan-ASEAN cooperation and to promote ‘ASEAN Cooperation-centered Busan’ branding. ‘2030 Future Generation ASEAN Expedition’ was organized this year for elementary school students from Korean and ASEAN families, the leaders of the future generation. The event included KOR-ASEAN performances, 10 ASEAN booth activities, and ASEAN talks, to understand and learn more about the ASEAN culture through mutual cultural exchange.
특히 각계각층에 유엔의 평화 정신을 알리기 위해 부산 국민외교 서포터즈 유엔즈(UNs) 한국 포함 25개국 약 100여 명의 학생들을 선발해 한국전쟁 당시 평화수호를 위해 전사한 장병의 이름을 호명하는 추모 캠페인 ‘리멤버 롤콜(9월~10월)’, ‘제 78회 UN의 날 기념행사(10/24)’,’세계평화포럼’ 등 한국전쟁 참전용사의 헌신에 김사의 뜻을 전하고 희생정신을 기린다.
올해로 4회째를 맞이하는 ‘2023 부산 아세안 주간’사업은 ‘2019년 한-아세안 특별정상회의’ 개최 기념 후속 사업의 일환으로, 부산시와 아세안의 지속가능한 협력과 연대를 위해 기획되었다.
2020년부터 문화 컨텐츠로 부산-아세안 협력을 강화하기 위한 다양한 프로그램을 통해 ‘아세안 협력 중심도시 부산’ 브랜딩을 위해 개최해오고 있다. 올해는 ‘2023 미래세대 아세안 탐험대’를 개최하였는데, 미래세대의 주역인 한국가정 및 아세안 다문화가정 초등학생 대상으로, 한-아세안 공연, 아세안 10개국 부스 체험활동, 아세안 토크 등 아세안 문화를 직접 보고, 체험함과 동시에 상호 문화를 이해하고 교류하는 시간을 가졌다.
