부산외국인주민대표자회의

On September 25, 2021, the 2nd Busan Foreign Residents' Representatives Meeting was held at the Busan Foundation Exchange Room as a follow up to the first general empowerment meeting. In the first session, issues were selected and the final agenda from this subcommittee was put to the Busan Metropolitan City. The chiefs of the subcommittees explained the proposed agenda in each division (human rights/culture, life/capacity enhancement) with additional remarks and discussions about the proposal.

지난 2021년 9월 25일, 부산국제교류재단 교류실에 서 제2기 부산외국인주민대표자회의 1차 전체회의 및 역량강화교육이 있었습니다. 이번 1차 전체회의에서는 1차 분과회의에서 나왔던 안건들을 공유하고, 부산시에 제안할 최종 안건을 선정하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 분과위원장님들께서 분과별(인권/문화, 생활/역량강 화) 제안 안건을 설명하고, 제안 안건들에 대한 추가 발언 및 토론이 진행되었습니다.

The human rights/culture committee proposed the enactment of the anti-discrimination act, guarantee of child custody rights, expansion of interpretation and translation service, and psychological counseling for foreign residents, along with other suggestions. The life/capacity enhancement committee proposed improving the ‘Life in Busan’ promotion, establishing the Busan Foreign Residents’ Hall of Honor, discrimination against foreigners about the disaster aid, and opening an exclusive window for F-type visas at the Busan Immigration Office. All of the proposals for each division will be screened by the Busan Metropolitan City and BFIC about their implementation.

인권/문화 위원회에서는 차별금지법 제정, 자녀 양육 권리 보장, 통번역서비스 확대, 외국인주민 심리상담 제공 등의 내용을 제안하였습니다. 생활/역량강화 위원회에서는 'Life in Busan' 앱 홍보 강화, 부산외국인주민대표 명예의 전당 코너 신설, 외국인 재난지원금 차별, 부산출입국외국인청 F계열 비자 전용창구 개설 등의 의견을 제안하였습니다. 분과별 제안 의견은 부산시와 재단에서 검토 후 반영 여부를 채택할 예정입니다.

At the suggestion of the members, an empowerment meeting about ‘Korean life etiquette’ was held. Reviews from participants stated that it was very fun and meaningful as they were able to exchange questions about Korean culture and social life skills, which they thought they had gotten used to, but were still somewhat unfamiliar. The Busan Foreign Resident Representative Meeting will hold the second submeeting in November and the second general meeting in December, and the Busan Metropolitan City and BFIC will be all ears to foreign residents in Busan to support their life in this city.

그리고 이어서 위원님들의 제안으로 '한국생활 에티켓'이라는 주제로 역량강화교육도 진행되었습니다. 한국생활에 익숙해진 것 같지만 여전히 익숙하지 않은 문화나 사회생활스킬 등 다양한 질문을 주고 받으며 즐겁고 뜻깊은 교육시간을 가졌다는 위원님들의 소감이 있었습니다. 부산외국인주민대표자회의는 향후 11월경 2차 분과 회의, 12월 2차 전체회의를 개최할 예정이며, 부산시와 재단은 부산 거주 외국인 주민들의 의견을 적극 수렴하여 외국인 주민 지원에 더욱 박차를 가할 예정입니다.
